The Network Operators’ Group of Serbia (RSNOG) has opened registration for the Eighth RSNOG Conference, which will be held on November 15, 2022, under the patronage of the Foundation “Register of the National Internet Domain of Serbia” (RNIDS), Unicom Telecom, and Serbian Open Exchange (SOX), and with the support of RIPE NCC, ISOC, and Team Cymry.
The conference will bring together local and international experts who will share their experiences, ideas, and recommendations for making the internet faster, more reliable, and safer.
The first segment will be devoted to presentations. Boško Radivojević will explain FinOps and what engineers should know about it. John Brown of Team Cymru, a global leader in cyber security, will present a free DDoS defense solution (UTRS). Goran Slavić of the NCR company will speak about software-defined networks, while Nataša Mojsilović of the RIPE NCC will present news of interest to the region’s network operators.
The second block will be devoted to a discussion of Serbia’s current state of information security. Dunja Majstorović from Siemens Energy will moderate the discussion, which will include representatives from operator A1, the national CERT of the Republic Agency for Electronic Communications and Postal Services, RNIDS Foundation, FIN-CSIRT of the Association of Serbian Banks, Unicom Telecom, and Nova Defense.
Following that, an operator round table will be held to discuss developing portfolios of digital services. This session will feature representatives from Telekom Srbija, Yettel, A1 and ICT Hub.
A traditional RSNOG award quiz on internet networking, information security, and cyber culture will be held at the end of the conference. This year’s quiz winner will receive a three-day stay in a villa on Zlatibor, courtesy of the quiz’s sponsor, Serbian Open Exchange (SOX).
The Eighth RSNOG conference will be held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Belgrade, and an online broadcast will be available. The conference is free to attend thanks to our patrons and sponsors, but registration is required.
