What is RSNOG?
The Republic of Serbia Network Operators’ Group (RSNOG) is an informal community of local network experts, gathered around a shared interest in improving the quality, performance, stability and security of Internet networks and services in Serbia.
RSNOG actively encourages the exchange of ideas, knowledge and best practices among network experts in Serbia, as well as collaboration with similar groups in the region, Europe and all over the world.
The RSNOG community communicates through electronic mailing lists and public events. RSNOG community public events are organised by the Programme Team, which comprises an RNIDS representative responsible for coordination with the RSNOG community and at least four other people who, via the RSNOG mailing list, have expressed an interest in being involved in organising events.
The RSNOG community is open to all network experts in Serbia, who can become members by subscribing to the general mailing list and sending a message with their basic details, professional engagement and interests.
Partnership between the RSNOG community and RNIDS
RNIDS offers administrative, organisational and financial support for the activities of the RSNOG community, a role approved by the RNIDS Board of Governors. In addition to maintaining the electronic mailing list and the website, RNIDS supports the organisation of public events and other community activities, aimed at the exchange of ideas, knowledge and best practices among network experts in Serbia, as well as collaboration with similar groups in the region, Europe and around the world.
The RNIDS Director has appointed Slobodan Marković, ICT Policy and Internet Community Relations Advisor, to oversee the support provided to the RSNOG community. Slobodan directly administers the mailing list and website of the community, ensures they are being used correctly, acts as the contact for other NOG communities and coordinates the organisation of RSNOG events.
